Azerbaijan's diverse ornithological tourism opportunities were prominently featured at the Global Bird Fair, held in the Rutland region of Great Britain. This prestigious event provided an excellent platform to highlight the country's exceptional birdwatching prospects.
During the exhibition, Azerbaijan's ornithological attractions were comprehensively presented, including the birdwatching potential in the Greater Caucasus and Talysh Mountains, the Nabran coast, Mingachevir reservoir, and the banks of the Kura River. Additionally, natural sites such as Beshbarmag, Khinalig, and Leza were showcased, along with the country's rare bird species and rich biodiversity found within national parks including Kizylagac, Altiagac, Aggol, Absheron, and Shirvan. Attendees received detailed information about the optimal seasons for birdwatching in these regions.
This year’s Global Bird Fair saw participation from over 270 countries, with representatives from Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Iceland, Bulgaria, France, Turkey, Great Britain, the USA, Australia, Taiwan, and Malaysia. The event brought together numerous companies and institutions dedicated to promoting global birdwatching tourism.
